New Mathletics Assessments: what’s changed for you?

Assessments in Mathletics now have one home. The new Assess area brings together finding, assigning, marking and reviewing assessments – work that used to be split across Assign & Review and Old Tests – so you can do it all from one central place as part of your

What's changed for you

  • Used Assign & Review? The workflow looks a little different, but the same tasks are all still there – we'll show you where to find them.
  • Used Old Tests? Assess keeps the speed and simplicity you're used to, and adds results aligned to your curriculum/standards – something Old Tests didn't offer.

Where to find Assess

Once you’ve signed in to Mathletics, click the Assess tile or select Assess from the left-hand menu in your Teacher Console.

Assess is organized into three tabs – Schedule, Manage and Results – plus its own report under Reports. The guides below walk through each one.

How do I find, preview and assign an assessment?

  1. Log into your Mathletics Teacher Console.
  2. Select Assess > Schedule, then choose your class or group.
  3. Filter by curriculum/standards, grade or search by assessment title.
  4. Select View to preview the questions before you assign.
  5. Select Assign, choose your students, and set start and end dates. You can also set a time limit if you want one.
  6. Optional: select Preview > Questions to customize which questions are included, or shuffle the order they appear in.

How do I manage active assessments?

  1. Log into your Mathletics Teacher Console.
  2. Select Assess > Manage to see all active assessments for your class.
  3. Check the status – In progress, Complete or Overdue – along with completion count and dates.
  4. Select Modify to change students, dates or the questions included.
  5. Select Re-assign on a completed assessment to give it again. Each attempt is saved separately, so you can see how understanding develops over time.
  6. Select End to close an assessment early.

How do I understand results and fill learning gaps?

  1. Log into your Mathletics Teacher Console.
  2. Select Assess > Results to see completed assessments and average scores.
  3. Choose Results by student or Results by question to drill into the detail.
  4. Select View beside a student for a question-by-question breakdown.
  5. Use Fill Learning Gaps to see recommended Skill Quests for the class or individual students, then assign them directly.

How do I review assessment performance over time?

  1. Log into your Mathletics Teacher Console.
  2. Go to Reports > Assessment Report.
  3. Select a class and a time period. This defaults to the current academic year.
  4. Review the overview, strand performance and assessment-by-assessment breakdown.
  5. Select Export to download the report to Excel.
